A strict Teacher

A strict teacher

A teacher
Stiff and hard,
For him
Rules are rules!

Observe them
Follow them
Meet deadlines
Maintain standards high

Right on time
No mistakes
No mess ups
Or force to amend
For rules are rules

Any violation
Meets with set of rules
Rules and more rules
For rules are rules

Oh! Rules,
Invincible Wall of rules
Surrounding him!

In alumni meet
Anxious, inquiring
About each student,
Holding tears in his moist eyes
Wall seen pierced
Revealing a soft heart

Rules are just rules

Interesting (and excellent) job with the prompt. I had a teacher like this minus the ending unfortunately.

cool, well put.

Nice, Harshad. I was a lenient teacher, bending the rules many times. It paid off in those students' learning.

I have known such task-masters and discovered the state of their good hearts in time to appreciate them. Thank God.
