Not Funny!

Not  funny!

He said no, she accepted,
He was not cooperative, she was patient
He threw tantrums, she kept quiet
He lied, she understood
He ignored, she tolerated
He criticized, she remained positive.

When he turned sarcastic:
Witty though it seemed
It pierced deep,
Hurting CHILD in her.

Reacting sharply,
She exited the scene.

Good for her. There really is no response to the tearing up that sarcasm is.

I like how you show both sides to this he said/she said scenario!

Wonderful and I like how you led us through all she can take until it gets to sarcasm. So true.

Good for her! To me this was 'verbal abuse' and one doesn't have to take that for a minute!

Something about sarcasm that cuts very deep. I'm glad she drew the line.

cause and effect... i don't think we really realize the pain our words can cause... that saying... sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me... not, that is pride, though indeed words do hurt...

Sarcasm always has that effect!

Lying, criticizing, tantrums and ignoring are ways of manipulating.

Like Jim above, I too see this as verbal abuse.
