Friends

Friends

Two kids
Looking at a balloon in sky,
Feelings in their heart
Make them laugh.
Friends they are
Moment brings them closer
Friendship felt.

Two adults
Logic runs high
They see balloon in sky,
Balloons have different meaning for each
Different feelings in each
Yet it brings them closer
For they care for each other’s feelings

Hearts of two friends are connected
Like hearts of two kids,

Logic in its place
Dare not come in the way.

Excellently done. I'm a big believer that we need to retain the inner child to be completely adult.

Logic becomes illogical in adult relationships. The sad thing is that there is permanency and can be hurtful. Kids brush it off and are friends within the minute! If only we have the child in us to cement the cracks!
Great write Harshad!

Indeed! That is a beautiful poem. It is good to be kids, to be adults, to be kids as adults from time to time.
