Surrendering

Surrendering

A dog in street, my pet,
playful,
Loving.

Returning after a few days from tour,
I see him in a corner,
Low & depressed.
He runs towards me,
His joy displayed,

Making me feel wanted.
Just loving and wanted to be loved.

He does it by waggling his tail.

I too like him
Missed my loved ones & their love,
Feeling low & depressed.

But I couldn’t waggle my tail.
Suffering silently….

What stopped me?

        *
But no more.

I now know,
To waggle tail
is to surrender
to HIM.

I'm smiling, Harshad. :)
Yes, the dog recognizes you as his master and that is the way it is meant to be. You are also his provider and he loves you for that.

Thank you for the nice prompt. It was enjoyable for me to work with it.

@Jim,
Well, this dog is a street dog and I don't provide for him.

well Harshadji..a nice lesson... we often refuse to wag the tail thinking that it would be a gesture of being bound.. but then what you expresses is true..that's would wagging the tail should mean..indeed.. total acceptance.. with the things around..kind of surrender yes.. i salute the way you have interpreted this as I learn..

WOW the moments you described a re so intense that these can only be felt by a pet lover.
Selfless love they shower is beyond to explain in words.

The last three lines was so touching, and so very true!

It was nice equating it to our own personal struggles...:)

Thanks for the prompt Harshad!

This talks a lot about dependency ! Some times i feel all bonds are that of being dependent on the other .. Sigh !

What a way to express love
And to surrender!

Very well put together and full of emotion my friend!

So what is wagging a tail,
External reflection of the inner feeling!
So what if you don't have a tail,
Open your mind and let the pain go reeling.
My friend you are blessed to see HIS glory
Smile, do not feel sorry
